A thought...

Professor Dumbledore sat in his chair, his hands were folded neatly in his lap. He gazed through his half-moon spectacles at the little note fluttering a few inches away from the sword of Godric Gryffindor. He sighed and reached for his wand, stored neatly in his sock for the moment. With one swift hand movement, the little note went soaring out of the room. He placed his wand upon his desk and closed his eyes. My, how tired he was. He momentarily dozed off, but was awoken at the sound of a loud knocking. Many portraits of past Headmasters grunted in their sleep.
"Enter." Dumbledore said slowly.

"Good morning headmaster. You requested my presence?"

"Yes Professor." Dumbledore said as he stood. "Please, take a seat and help yourself to some Sugar Quills." He said cheerfully gesturing to the chair and then to the bowl of Sugar Quills sitting upon his desk.

McGonagall took a seat and look around the tidy office. Everything was clean as usual, but something didn't feel right. Looking at Dumbledore, she started with the questions. "Sir, when you contacted me, you said it was urgent. Is there something that I can help you with?"

Dumbledore sighed heavily. This was bothering him more than he wanted it to.
"Professor, as you know, Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban. The Ministry is wanting some Dementors to keep watch over the school. What are we to do if they cannot control themselves? My main concern is the students and protecting them from whatever may hurt them. I don not know which is worse, a notorious murderer or the Dementors." Dumbledore said.

OOC: Mel, does this make sense to you?? I'm still half asleep (And it's 6:22 PM...) and I don't follow it very well. Yes, I know, I wrote it.... Lance kept me up late. HA that sounds so naughty...

"I see your point." He sighed. "We'll take the Dementors. We'll just have to let the future unfold itself." Dumbledore said. He sighed once more and the smiled. "Are you sure you don't want some sweets?"

OOC: Man Mel, why do you have to sound so smart? You're like this at school too!

"Well, I guess I could have one or two." she said picking up a Sugar Quill. Holding it carefully in her hand, she said, "If you don't mind sir, I must get back to my class. And thank you for the Sugar Quills." McGonagall nodded her head in respect for the Headmaster and made her way to the door. "One more thing. I would suggest telling the students before the Dementors arrive so that they are prepared." Closing the heavy door behind her, she sighed as the step descended. This was going to be a long year.

OOC: Sorry, I guess it can't really be helped. Unless you want me to act dumb and ask you about everything. :-)

Dumbledore nodded slowly as McGonagall shut the door. He knew her advice was the best thing to do. He had already asked Severus about this, and his reply was almost similar. Dumbledore sighed to himself and closed his eeyes again, trying to get in a small nap before dinner.

Aiden knocked on the Headmaster's door, hoping it wasn't too late to ask him about something.

Dumbledore opened his eyes slowly. Surely Minervra hadn't forgotten something! But, it could be important or a student for that matter. Dumbledore readjusted his glasses and Sugar Quills before speaking. "Enter." He said loudly enough for whoever it was waiting outside to hear.

Aiden opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind him. "Hello, Professor, hope it isn't a bad time," Aiden said politely.

"Not at all." Dumbledore smiled. "Take a seat and have a Sugar Quill." He gestured toward the empty chair in front of his desk. "What is it you need Aiden?"

Aiden sat down at the chair. "Professor...I've heard Sirius Black is still at large...what are we to do if Black gets into the castle?"

Dumbledore sighed. "Aiden, we will do everything in our power to make sure that Mr. Black doesn't get into this castle. And if he ever does, we'll deal with that when it happens. There's no need to worry. The professors have put a great amount of security upon this castle. You just focus on your studies for now." Dumbledore smiled.

"Alright, thank you Professor," Aiden said, getting up and heading toward the door. "Good night, Profesor," Aiden said as he left.

"Have a good night, Aiden." Dumbledore said as the door shut. He closed his eyes again and drifted into a nap.
